Well, we started off our 2022-23 season with an excellent practical evening organised by Chris and Mark.
The theme for the evening was low light photography and we split into two groups, one lead by Mark and one by Chris. After our half time tea break, we swapped over.
Mark’s group were looking at how to use cheap and simple lights to create some brilliant abstract images using light painting techniques. We experimented with different camera setting until we were able to get the kind of images we were after.
Chris on the other hand, was looking at how to use camera settings to create impressive starburst images and also how we can use long exposure to create some spooky ‘ghost’ images.
As always, it was a very sociable evening and together we learnt a great deal about low light photography and how to play around with our camera settings to get some interesting images.
