For our June club meeting we welcomed professional photographer Peter Aitchison for a talk on Travel and Street photography.

Peter has been a professional photographer for a good number of years, probably more than he cares to admit. And during this impressive career, he has worked for different media and news organisations which gave him the opportunity to travel the world, experiencing the good and the bad of humanity. He finally decided to give up taking pictures for other people and started working for himself, taking the images that he wanted to capture.

The result of this extensive career is that he has an impressive portfolio of superb photographs from almost all corners of the planet and it was some of his collection of Street and Travel pictures that he came to share with us.

Peter very much likes to engage with his audience and his style is to have an open discussion, with him providing some background, anecdotes and some technical information on the image, but encouraging comment and feedback.

The result was a very entertaining and informative evening with some stunning pictures that passed much too quickly.
