February Club Meeting with Chris Upton

For our February club meeting we were joined by local professional photographer Chris Upton. Our club members had submitted two images to Chris two weeks earlier for him to review and give feedback on the images at our meeting.

Although maybe a bit daunting for some, as we are not a competitive club, the time and effort into providing positive feedback from Chris was very much appreciated by everyone.

As there was no theme, there was a wide range of subjects and styles on show and Chris made sure he spent time on constructive comments on each image and getting input from the owner on what they were trying to capture in the image.

This was not only valued by the owner of the image, everyone else in attendance gained benefit by the comments and suggestions that Chris provided.

The feedback we have had from the members has been very positive and we have been asked if we can make this kind of meeting an annual event, which speaks for itself.

The meeting was never intended to be a competition type review of the pictures and it wasn’t. It was an open and honest discussion between Chris and the picture author which provided advice and encouragement to the photographer.

An excellent evening, and yes, we will be doing it again. Enjoy this selection of images that were submitted.
