Making the Ordinary Extraordinary

We had an event-packed meeting in February, starting off with a slideshow of images based on the theme of ‘Making the Ordinary Extraordinary’ and true to form, we had a very inventive set of images from everyone.

A fantastic response to the theme, so thank you all for your contributions.

You can take a look at a slideshow of all of your images at the bottom of this post.

The main event of the evening was a presentation by Mark O’Rafferty on his photography when engaged on his skiing trips.

His photography was stunning and the scale of what we were looking at in some of the images was mind blowing.

Some of the locations he has visited and photographed are just astounding. A big thank you Mark for sharing with us.

You can see a small selection of the images from his presentation on a separate post.

Next month we will be welcoming Ian Mountford to the club for his talk entitled ‘The Long Way to success’.

Ian has a very distinctive photographic style and I’m really looking forward to hearing about how this style developed, the techniques he uses and enjoying his selection of images. Find out more here.

Don’t forget our monthly theme for the March meeting is ‘Trees’, only one image this time please.

In the meantime, enjoy another look at your February photo theme submissions.
